OMMEGANG Ale, Belgian-Style
True Belgian-style saison. Bottle conditioned. Gold medal winner! Great American Beer Fest 2004. Cellared at the brewery. Pour slowly so as to not disturb the yeast sediment, but with enough vigor to create a luxurious head and release the rustic bouquet. Brewery Ommegang is 3,264 miles from Brussels, but its heart is right in Belgium. It was created out of our devotion to the unique ales brewed by the country where brewing is an art and partaking is a passion. Part of the Duvel family of fine ales. Father Hennepin was the Belgian missionary who discovered Niagara Falls. Our Hennepin is a rare saison farmhouse ale - pale, hoppy, crisp, and rustic - and like Tintin, Magritte, and Audrey Hepburn, Hennepin is famous, but not for being Belgian! And remember: The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes - Proust. Alc/vol 7.7%.
