Our Family-Owned History

Our Founder, Elmer Dagenais had a vision that started back in 1945 when he opened his first grocery store. Throughout the years he built a reputation for offering fresh products, outstanding service and a great appreciation for our customers! Elmer’s son Wayne joined his dad in the family business and was equally as passionate about taking care of families and our community.

Today, Wayne’s three children Mike, Pat and Barb are third generation grocers and operate our full-service supermarket with all the conveniences of a big city store but with the old-fashion pride and service Elmer and Wayne built our foundation on.

We know better than anyone that you have a choice of where you will shop and we’re very proud that so many people have chosen us to grace their dinner table.

We don’t just talk about our community…we walk in it, volunteer out time for its betterment and truly believe the best is ahead for all of us. Thanks for choosing Elmer’s!
